Julia Child Tribute

August 7th-9th

Chef Julia Child, a beloved American icon and culinary celebrity, passed away in 2004, just two days before her 92nd birthday.
This year, on August 15, 2012, Julia would have been 100 years old.
In honor of this centennial birthday, Vincent’s will be celebrating with special events, menus, and contests. Check our special Julia page and Facebook page often, as we will be adding to it daily.

Steak Tartar
served with toast points and a petit arugula salad

Salade Lyonnaise
frisée and baby wild arugula tossed in a warm truffle oil vinaigrette with pancetta and seasoned croutons, topped with a farm-fresh poached egg
Soupe au Pistou
a fragrant Provencal vegetables soup, served with a parmesan-garlic crouton

Second Course

Boeuf Bourguignon
beef simmered in red wine with herbs, mushrooms, carrot and pearl onions, plated with roasted potatoes and haricot verts

Bouillabaisse
Provençale fish stew prepared with sea bass, salmon, shrimp, scallops and mussels, served with a garlic crouton topped with rouille
Suprémes de Volaille à la Milanaise
chicken breast flatten and coated with seasoned bread crumbs, pan fried and finished with a brown butter caper sauce, served with seasonal vegetables and potato gratin

French Apple Tart

Île Flottante
Floating Island – mounds of poached meringue, floating in crème anglaise drizzled with warm caramel sauce and topped with fresh berry coulis
